Mick Jagger is reportedly working on a new album
The Rolling Stones frontman is said to be working on his first material since his main bands` last studio album, `A Bigger Bang`, in 2005.
Although details are scant, Mick`s brother, Chris, told Portuguese website RTP: "He`s doing a record at the moment in Los Angeles with Dave Stewart, he called me last night telling me what he was doing."
Dave is best known as one half of `Sweet Dreams` pop group Eurythmics with Annie Lennox, but he is also a successful record producer, working with The Beatles` Ringo Starr, Tom Petty and Bob Geldof, among others.
Dave has worked with Mick on a number of occasions, co-writing and producing his 1987 `Primitive Cool` album and later collaborating with him on the track `Old Habits Die Hard` for the 2004 film `Alfie`.
Rumours The Rolling Stones will return to playing live imminently were quashed earlier this month when the group released a statement saying they have "no firm plans to tour" in 2011.
