Russian plane brings clothes, tents for Cuban doctors in Pakistan
MOSCOW, November 5 -- A plane of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has delivered warm clothing and tents for Cuban doctors working in the quake-stricken areas of Pakistan.
A ministerial Il-76 landed in Islamabad at 4:35 p.m. Moscow time on Friday, a source in the ministry press service told Itar-Tass. The warm clothing, blankets and tents were supplied by request of 300 doctors from Cuba. "The doctors came to Pakistan within the first few days after the devastating earthquake," the source said.
The plane delivered 300 sets of warm clothing, 300 wool blankets and 60 tents from the defense and emergency situations ministries. The total weight of the cargo is 30 tonnes.
