Three-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova seems to be returning to her winning game, as the Russian won her first WTA title of the season in Rome.

Sharapova, who defeated world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki in Saturday`s semis, experienced few problems against Samantha Stosur of Australia.
The game lasted for 1 hour 23 minutes, and ended with Sharapova`s straight-set victory, 6-2, 6-4.
The key to the Russian`s success was confident play on the return, as Sharapova collected five breaks and gave only two of her serves away.
The success in Rome was Maria`s 23rd career title and her first piece of silverware this year.
