Simon Cowell has a Frank Sinatra shrine
The 51-year-old music mogul has been a fan of the legendary crooner since he was a teenager and he always insists on images of the late singer being prominently displayed in his private backstage areas, his brother Tony Cowell has revealed.
Tony wrote in his column for Britain`s Star magazine: "I can tell you that Simon likes to have his dressing room adorned with photos of Frank Sinatra. He`s been a big fan of Ol` Blue Eyes ever since Mum played his records at her dinner parties in the 1970s."
In addition to his pictorial tribute, Simon - whose family have nicknamed him Mr. Pop - has a particularly special memento to his hero, which was given to him for his 50th birthday.
Tony explained: "It was on Mr Pop`s 50th birthday that he received the ultimate gift - Frank`s own golf shoes! His widow, Barbara, sent Simon a letter with the shoes saying: `I heard you were a fan and I know Frank would want you to have these.`
"Simon hates golf but was so thrilled he had the shoes framed in his house!"
