Lady Gaga is "quite traditional" when it comes to family
The `Judas` hitmaker - who is known for her love of eccentric outfits, including a dress made of meat and arriving in an ?egg? for the Grammy awards earlier this year - does not think of herself as crazy and when it comes to family, she believes herself to be very normal.
Speaking on MTV show `Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside`, she said: "I`m really quite traditional, actually, contrary to what some people might think about me.
"I`m quite traditional in the family sense. My dad was just trying to breathe normally. He`s still trying to breathe normally."
The 25-year-old singer was inspired to become a singer by her parents Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta, who encouraged her to pursue her interest in music by buying her records.
She said: "My parents got me Stevie Wonder `Signed, Sealed, Delivered` and The Beatles when I was younger.
"Good choices, mom and dad. Don`t spoon-feed me The Beatles and Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and Elton John and expect for me not to turn out this way."
Lady Gaga - who was named as the world`s most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine earlier this week - recently revealed she planned to have children one day but was currently busy "giving birth" to fans, which she dubs her "little monsters".
Asked if she planned to have a family one day, she said: "I think at some point, yeah, I`ll have a family and babies and all those things, but not right now.
"Not for a while. Right now I have lots of fans. I`m giving birth to lots of little monsters, so I need to keep down the stretch marks."
