Randy Savage died in a car accident
The 58-year-old wrestling legend - better known by his ring name `Macho Man` - died on 20.05.11after suffering a heart attack at the wheel of his car and losing control of the vehicle in Tampa, Florida.
According to TMZ, a spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed the WWF star "collided head-on with a tree" after veering across a concrete median and into oncoming traffic in his 2009 Jeep Wrangler.
Randy - who also was a successful actor, and appeared in the 1992 `Spiderman` film as wrestler Bonesaw McGraw - was transported to the nearby Largo Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The wrestler`s second wife Lynn Payne, with whom he recently celebrated his first wedding anniversary, was a passenger in the car at the time of the crash, but escaped from the wreckage with "minor injuries".
Officials present at the scene of the collision have confirmed both Randy and Lynn were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the incident and alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
