London court reviewed decision about child euthanasia
Judge of Supreme London court cancelled previous decision on the case of incurable sick 2-years old Charlotte White. Year ago court resolved that in case of another respiratory standstill doctors can not reanimate girl and their actions will not be judged as illegal.
Information about improvement of Charlotte`s condition forced judge to review decision. In circumstances which give even slight hope that girl will live doctors have no right not to reanimate her.
Despite of her last decision judge thinks that girl has small chances to survive. Her development stopped at level of 2-3 month child. Moreover, Charlotte has hard brain affection and serious lungs disease.
Charlotte White was born on 26 week of pregnancy in October 2003. She weighted no more than 500 grams and was 12.5 cm long. Girl was born with serious lung pathology. All her life she spent in hospital where she is fed through probe and is constantly under oxygen supply. 5 times Charlotte stopped to breath. By doctor`s words, Charlotte`s brain doesn`t develop, she will never be able to sit, walk or talk.
Parents agreed on first decision of judge but then protested it motivating by improvement of health condition.
