"March against hatred" in memory of killed scientist was held in St. Petersburg
On Sunday march in memory of famous scientist and rights defender Nikolai Girenko - "March against hatred" - was organized in St. Petersburg.
"This action is opposed to violence because of international dissention", - announced the head of organization committee Aleksandr Vinnikov.
Meeting will start at subway station "Sport" but subway administration announced that station is closed by technical reasons though station works in ordinary regime.
Organizers of march appeal to participants to reach place of gathering using land transport. They declared that strange situation around gathering place seems like provocation.
Nikolai Girenko was killed in St. Petersburg on June 19, 2004 in own flat. He was the leading expert on racist and nationalist problems and consulted law machinery officials during investigations of criminal cases.
