Russian far eastern regions prepared for winter
MOSCOW, November 7 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said the far eastern regions had built up the necessary stocks of fuel to tide them over the winter.
"All the regional leaders confirmed high preparedness for the winter; nobody`s expecting emergencies," Fradkov said at a meeting in the Kremlin on Monday, as he reported on the results of his trip to Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Blagoveshchensk.
Fradkov visited an aircraft-making company engaged in the defense sector in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and chaired a conference over the housing and utilities sector in Blagoveshchensk.
This issue needs more scrutiny which will continue at a session of the special commission on the law on power-sharing later in the day, the prime minister said.
