Pierre Cardin presents new cosmetics for Russian men
World-famous designer Pierre Cardin has for the first time presented a new cosmetic line for men in Russia. Mirra Lux, a Russian cosmetic company, became its developer and manufacturer, the company`s press service reported.
Pierre Cardin, who is a member of the French Academy of Fine Arts, came to Moscow personally to present the successful results of his first cooperation with a Russian cosmetic firm.
The new line is titled Elegance by Pierre Cardin. Russian specialists developed all the line`s items in Mirra Lux`s molecular cosmetology laboratory. The developers regard the novelty as a premium-class production, with the price of one bottle ranging from 550 to 3500 rubles. Elegance target consumers are businessmen wishing to look well-groomed and elegant at any age.
Mirra Lux owns the right of Elegance distribution. According to the license agreement, the distribution will be started in mid-November via Mirra Lux`s distribution network in Russia, CIS countries and Turkey. If the production passes a quality test within the first 6 months, Elegance by Pierre Cardin will enter the world market.
The idea of cooperation between the French designer and the Russian cosmetic company was born in 2003, when Pierre Cardin met with Galina Kuznetsova, the company`s sales manager. Cardin tried and highly evaluated cosmetic products by Mirra Lux and offered the Russian company to manufacture a cosmetic line bearing his name. Thus, Mirra Lux became the first company in Russia in the last 25 years to sign a license agreement with the legend of the world fashion industry. The company invested 800 thousand in this project, while the product`s sales volume is expected to total 600 thousand within the first year.
Mirra Lux, a private company, was founded on the basis of the secret Center for Applied Microbiology in the town of Obolensk in 1992. In 1996, joint-stock cosmetic company Mirra was created. The company currently has 6 branches in Moscow and about 140 branches in Russia and CIS countries. Its production line includes over 100 items.
