Bridget Marquardt has frozen some of her eggs
The 37-year-old blonde beauty - who has been dating director Nicholas Carpenter for nearly three years - decided to carry out the procedure a few years ago while she was living at the Playboy Mansion with ex-boyfriend Hugh Hefner to give herself more time to get pregnant.
She said: "I had my eggs harvested a few years ago. I was at the Mansion, and I knew that kids were something I would like to have someday. And it didn`t look like there would be kids anytime in my near future. So I did something to ensure I have a little more time."
Bridget - who moved out of the Los Angeles home in 2009 after splitting from Hugh - is prepared to use her frozen eggs and have In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) to give her and Nicholas "an extra chance" at having a baby if they have difficulties conceiving, but she would rather go down the natural route to make a baby.
She added to America`s Star magazine: "If we get married and there`s still time and we want that, then great. And if that wasn`t meant to be, maybe we can look into adoption or something.
"If I decide I want a baby and I`m having problems then I have that extra chance."
Bridget previously starred on reality TV show `Girls Next Door`, which depicted her life with Hugh and his other ex-girlfriends Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson.
She later appeared in spin-off programmes `Holly`s World` and `Kendra`.
