Charlie Sheen has offered his "support" to ex-wife Brooke Mueller
Despite it being believed the former `Two and and Half Men` actor - who has two-year-old twin sons Bob and Max with the troubled reality TV star - would be taking the couple`s children into his care, Brooke has confirmed she will continue to have custody of the tots.
Meanwhile, Brooke - who was also charged with assault when she was arrested in Aspen, Colorado, last week - is hoping to have all the allegations against her dropped.
A spokesperson for the star - who has battled drink and drug addictions in the past - said in a statement: "Brooke is back home in Los Angeles spending quiet time with her children. She has retained her longtime attorney Yale Galanter, who is currently in Aspen investigating the case.
"Mr. Galanter will vigorously defend Brooke with the goal of having all charges dropped once the facts of the case come to light.
"Contrary to reports in the media, there will be no changes in the custody arrangement; the children are remaining with Brooke. Both Charlie and Brooke`s mother have offered to support Brooke in any way they can."
Brooke - who was arrested after being busted with cocaine last Friday (02.12.11) - could face up to six years in jail.
