Rod Stewart is a "leg man"
Penny Lancaster - who raises sons Alistair, six, and Aiden, 11 months, with the `Maggie May` hitmaker - explained her husband loves her to wear short skirts because he "always has been" fixated with women`s legs.
Asked what look he prefers, Penny said: "He`s not all that fussed, as long as it`s short. He`ll tolerate elegant, flowing gowns which I love. But he`s a leg man, always has been, always will be.
"There`s that myth that when you get to a certain age, the hemline should be lowered. But I`ve always believed it`s all to do with the figure that carries off the outfit, not the age of the person wearing it."
After giving birth to baby Aiden 11 months ago, the 41-year-old beauty admits she was keen to quickly regain her post-pregnancy figure, but sleepless nights left her feeling as though she was suffering from "permanent jet-lag".
She added in an interview with the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I wouldn`t have dreamt of putting on a swimsuit back then, let alone being photographed wearing one. I was out of condition because of the pregnancy and its aftermath. I felt very self-conscious.
"The broken nights left me feeling like I had permanent ґjet-lag. I certainly didn`t have any excess energy to start working out and trying to regain my pre-pregnancy figure."
