Elizabeth Banks says surrogacy was a "very easy" decision
The `Hunger Games` actress and her sports writer and producer husband Max Handelman became parents to 10-month-old baby Felix via a gestational surrogate last year, and she admits it was a simple choice to make once she had got over the initial realisation that she wasn`t going to be pregnant.
She told Women`s Health magazine: "It helps that other moms had said that once they had their babies, they forgot they were ever pregnant.
"So once my focus became the baby and not the pregnancy, it was a very easy decision."
The 37-year-old star - who has been married to Max, who she co-owns a production company with, for nine years - believes her "amazing" marriage will be "long-lasting" partly because the couple are able to spend time with each other at work.
She added: "Working together provides a lot of balance in our life and it`s a way for us to [see each other], because I travel so much for work.
"I have an amazing marriage and it will be long-lasting. I think I`m a good mom. I could run for office, no problem, because there are no skeletons in my closet. Not that I would run for office."
