Boxer Klichko Quits Ring! Switches for Policy?
Ukrainian boxer Vitaliy Klichko, having been operated upon his knee, has made a truly breaking announcement: he is quitting his sport career and will never return to boxer ring.
As a reminder, on November 12 a combat between 34-year-old Vitaliy Klichko, WBC champion in heavy weight, and American boxer Khasim Rakhman should have take place, yet it was canceled out because Klichko (senior)had injured his knee last week.
On Wednesday the boxer announced about his quitting boxer career and leaving the sport. This decision has been taken after medical examination and urgent surgical operation. Klichko.com the official web-site of brothers Klichko reports that cross copula has been transplanted to Vitaliy Klichko during surgical measurement.
"I have been fighting not my boxer rivals but traumas. I have made a very serious decision to quit the sport in the hey-day of my boxer career and handled my WBC title to the World Boxer Council", declared Mr. Klichko.
It is assumed Vitaliy Klichko has left the sport for the policy. Mass-media services have discussed the chances of Mr. Klichko to initiate his political career and the possibility of his running for a position of Kiev governor.
Maybe that has caused the Kiev mayor Aleksadr Omel?chenko to make a rather skeptical declaration, he is not ready to be a candidate for a position of Kiev governor.
Moreover, some rumors state that Vitaliy Klichko might run even for the parliament and be one of the first five leaders listed by People?s Union "Our Ukraine". Just wait and see?
