Russell Brand still loves his estranged wife Katy Perry
The British comedian has opened up about the end of his 14-month marriage to the singer and insists there is a part of him that will always love her.
Speaking on `The Ellen DeGeneres Show` in a pre-recorded interview , Russell confessed: "I still love her as a human being.
"But, sometimes when you`re in a relationship I suppose it doesn`t work out, does it? But that doesn`t mean I regret it or anything."
"I was very happy to be married with her. She`s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her."
Russell has no regrets about how the relationship ended and insists life has its own way of working out.
He added: "You can`t absolutely make everything the way you want it to be in life. Sometimes things are just different and then you just move with that and try and remain in contact with what is beautiful about yourself and each other with any situation."
The 36-year-old actor filed for divorce from Katy, 27, in December and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the break-up.
As they have agreed to the legal terms of their separation the split is likely to become official on June 30.
In recent weeks, the `Part of Me` hitmaker has started dating Florence + The Machine guitarist, Robert Ackroyd, while Russell has been spotted hand-in-hand with a sting of women in 2012, including David Hasselhoff`s ex Anouska de Georgiou.
