Esenin?s descendants do not like new film
A serial "Esenin" that is being shown at "First channel" has provoked many negative reactions from critics and audience
because creators of that "masterpiece" were disrespectful to the historical authenticity to please a fixed idea that the poet "was killed". Even Esenin?s descendants, who agree with the assassination version, bridled at Bezrukovs? film.
They were going to go to the law, but upon a fair balance they decided not to stoop. Esenin?s (and Zinaida Raich?s) own grandson and great-granddaughter Anna felt aversion, bewilderment and sometimes laughter, but joyless. "The film is disgusting! There are confusions in dates of events. Those events that took place in 1922 are shown as in 1924, those in 1916 happen in 22nd. These confusions produce data garbling. The truth is already perverted", - they said.
There are many inaccuracies and discrepancies in the film hardly made by a lack of knowledge. Bezrukov behaves like "sweet idiot" with a constant pleased smile on his face. Other characters are "humbled" in the film. "Benislavskaye did not follow Esenin all the time, she was proud and Esenin committed his publishing activities only to her." - said Sergey Alexandrovich?s descendants.
"Film creators wanted to show that Esenin was not self-murderer and alcoholic but the result was contrary. Esenin drinks and behaves outrageously during all film. But where is his work? He published several volumes with poems before the age of 30! Poet?s sisters told he was very squeamish and avoided casual relations. But in the film his is shown as real womanizer."
