Jennifer Lawrence was awarded Best Actress at the 2013 Oscars
The 22-year-old `Silver Linings Playbook` actress - who was previously nominated in the same category two years ago for her role in `Winter`s Bone` - received a standing ovation after she stumbled on the stairs leading up to the stage at the 85th annual ceremony on her way to collect her statue. Dressed in a stunning Dior Haute Couture, she said: "Thank you so much. This is nuts. "You guys are only standing up because I fell and you feel bad."
The blonde beauty, who was accompanied to the ceremony by her parents, also thanked her co-stars, crew and team for their support before wishing her fellow nominee, `Amour` star Emmanuelle Riva a happy 86th birthday.
Before the prestigious ceremony at Hollywood`s Dolby Theater, Jennifer revealed she had a very stressful day before the event and admitted she couldn`t wait to get to an after party so she could eat. She said: "Today was so stressful. There was everybody in, my family got ready at my house. I felt like Steve Martin in `Father of the Bride` with all the furniture being moved around my house. I had no time to eat. I`m starving."
Jennifer beat off stiff competition from Jessica Chastain in `Zero Dark Thirty`, Quvenzhané Wallis in `Beasts of the Southern Wild, Naomi Watts in `The Impossible` and Emmanuelle.
