TV finished with "Esenin" serial
This week First channel finishes demonstration of "Esenin" serial produced by Igor Zaizev. Film caused many unpleased and sometimes destructive responses from critics and audience.
Philologist and authour of Sergey Esenin`s biography Oleg Lekmanov criticized the main idea of serial that poet didn`t commit sucide but was killed. In his film Vitaly Bezrukov described Esenin`s murder. In his opinon Esenin was killed by poet Blumkin at Trotsky request.
As Lekmanov noticed, none of experts seriously considers version of poet`s murder. Though Esenin criticized Soviet authorities, he also praised it. Esenin always took compromise position and never crossed dangerous line. As the author of Sergey Esenin`s biography told, producer Bezrukov based his film on 2-3 sources, took facts from there and dissolved them in huge amount of lie and own fantasies.
Descedants of Sergey Esenin are indignant at serial. "Film is disgusting! There is a confusion in events. The ones occurred in 1922 happen in film in 1922. As a result of such mess, facts are juggled".
"We don`t like that film is made for Bezrukov. He always smiles and looks like idiot. All other characters are in humbled position. The authors of film wanted to prove that Esenin didn`t commit suicide but reached the opposite effect. All film Esenin is drunk and behaves disgracefully. And where is the pain of creative work", - notice poet`s descendants.
Authors of film didn`t consult with Esenin`s descendants. "According to law of our author`s right, only direct descendants have succession and must protect reputation. We wanted to bring an action against Bezrukovs but decided that this step is beneath our dignity", - announced grandson Sergey Vladimirovich.
At the same time descendants believe in version of murder but disagree with version that Trotsky ordered to kill him.
