Russian gymnasts won three gold medals in Baku
On October 6 at the worlds tournament of calisthenics which took place in Baku, Russia won three gold medals.
Olga Kapranova was first in exercising with mace. Vera Sessina was first in exercising with ribbon. The Russian gymnasts also took first prize in the team competitions. Sessina and Kapranova were in one team, Chachina and Putinzeva - in another one.
The Russian gymnasts collected 166,025 points and took the first place. The Ukrainian gymnasts gathered 157,175 points and they got the second place. The third place was taken by the team from Belorussia.
Unfortunately Alina Kabaeva couldn?t take part in that competition.
In exercising with maces Olga Kapranova was the best and she got 16,775 points. On Tuesday Kapranova took the first prize in exercises with the skipping-rope and the ball.
As the result, after five kinds of competitions Kapranova became the four-times champion of the world. Vera Sessina got the gold medal in exercizing with ribbons. As for Besonova, she got five silver medals in five competitions.
