Tatarstan president appoints new mayor
Kazan, November,17 - The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Saymiev appointed a new mayor of Kazan.
According to president`s decree the former administration chief of Nizhnekamsk city Ilsur Metshin will take the post of mayor in Tatarstan capital.
In addition the ex-mayor of Kazan Kamil Iskhakov was relieved of his post due to his new appointment as the plenipotentiary of Russian President in Far-East region. Mintimer Shaymiev presented the governmental award to Khamil Iskhakov - an order "Merits in front of Tatarstan republic"
