Saint-Petersburg State University celebrated "International day of languages"
November,18, Saint-Petersburg - Tomorrow the Saint-Petersburg State University will celebrate the holiday "International day of languages" for the first time.
The holiday was organized by Russian and foreign students with help of Eastern and Philological Faculties. The program of the holiday will consist of different activities: competitions, creative actions, presentations of 13 European and Asian languages - from English till Belarusian and also some of African languages.
As the rector of the University informed, about 160 languages are taught in the State University. The list includes all the languages of Commonwealth of United States and Baltic countries.
As a reminder, every year "International day of languages" is held in different European cities.
