Russian multi-millionaire to turn into chief of Olympic Committee
One of the candidates for the chief of the Olympic Committee is the richest resident of Russia.
On Monday acceptance of applications for the candidates came to the end.
The list of pretenders includes seven famous Russians: the present leader of the Russian Olympic Committee, the president of Russian Association of mountain-skiing sport and snowboard Leonid Tyagachev; the President of the Russian Shooting Union Vladimir Lisin; the chief of the All-Russian Voluntary Association "Sports Russia" Irina Rodina, the vice-president of the Russian Olympic Committee Valery Kuzin, the vice-president of the All-Russian Association of swimming Alexander Popov, the President of the All-Russian association of track and field athletics Valentin Balahnichev.
The elections of the President of the Russian Olympic Committee will happen in December 22.
