Russian Federation to cancel all agreements with Georgia
State Duma intends to examine a question about cancellation of all Russian-Georgian agreements in case Georgia leaves Commonwealth of Independent States.
Appropriate protocol order of several Duma committees was supported by parliamentarians this Wednesday. As the author of order, delegate of "Unified Russia" Sergey Antufiev, noted Russia has 91 agreements with Georgia in various spheres, among them 35 documents are subjected to ratification.
But speaker of Georgian parliament Nino Burdjanadze doesn`t see real danger in threats of Russian politicians. "I don`t think Russia can abolish all agreements. Maybe they will declare war. But I don`t think it will happen", - said Burdjanadze. She reminded that different announcements were made from side of Russian politicians before.
As a reminder, Georgian parliament decided to consult with president Mikhail Saakashvilli about procedure of leaving CIS. Speaker of Georgian parliament supported initiative of delegates, but noticed that this measure will form additional political and economic difficulties in the country.
