By the way, seeing another person falling always causes laughter of modern person. Numerous comedies of Charlie Chaplin or animated cartoon "Tom and Jerry" are based on this effect. Continuous falls, stumbling, blows at head cause laughter in the hall.
It is considered that our ancient relatives turned to humor to reduce daily stress and relax from problems as modern Homo sapiens do. And ancients had lots of problems.
Moreover, scientists consider that ability of human being to make sounds reminding laughter, appeared 4 millions years ago. These sounds were similar to frequent hoarseness.
Modern laughter appeared 2 millions years ago when face muscles developed well. Laughter could be used in negotiations.
