Nonna Mordukova celebrates jubilee
Russian actress Nonna Victorovna Mordukova will be 80 years on November 25. Celebrations in her honor will be held on the stage of Central house of cinematographers.
Nonna (Noyabrina) Mordukova graduated from VGIK in 1950 and the same year she started to work in theatre-studio, where she stayed till 1991. During her career actress performed in 60 films. Being a student of first course she played Uliana Gromova in "Young guard" produced Sergey Gerasimov. She was awarded Stalin premium for this role in 1949. During 50s and 60s Nonna Mordukova played in classical Soviet films but the best role in her career - commissioner Vavilova - was in film of Alexander Askoldov "Commissioner" in 1967.
