Zurab Cereteli to decorate Manezhnaya square with his new creation
In 2008 ensemble of Manezhnaya square in Moscow will spread due to Alexander Nevsky Chapel by Zurab Cereteli.
As city administration explained, 15-meter glass chapel, which will crown architectural-monumental composition of trade complex "Okhotniy Ryad" at Manezhnaya square, had to be constructed in 2002. But then architectural Council of Moscow disputed this idea.
Now, "by request of Moscow mayor Yurii Luzhkov, project was reviewed. This time idea was approved".
Specially for chapel ultrastrong aviation glass will be produced. Construction will cost $15 millions.
Glass chapel will be built in front of "Moscow" hotel, where cast-iron chapel of Alexander Nevsky was located before. She was demounted at the end of Soviet power.
