"United Russia" is in the lead in Chechen voting
Preliminary totals of the voting on election of Chechen parliament are being added up in Chechen republic.
171 of 430 election centers showed at 9:00 that "United Russian" is in the lead in Chechnya. The attendance in these centers was 66.09%. 59.26% of people voted for "United Russia" by the party lists.
CPRF and SPS took second and third place - 11.93% and 10.57% accordingly. "Evrazisky soyuz" - 5.15%, "Yabloko" - 4.07%, "Rodina" - 3.05%, LDPR - 1.53%, "Narodnaya volya" - 1.39%.
According to the president of republic election committee Ismail Baikhanov there were no complaints from parties which took part in election.
Lawyers and PACE discovered breaches in Chechen voting. Parliament assembly of the Council of Europe sent its representatives who came as the experts and not with the observer status.
The delegation was surprised with the sharp increase of voters? activity since 16:00 to 17:30, "Echo of Moscow" informed.
Though the president of the election committee Ismail Baikhanov thinks there is nothing strange that people came in the end of a rest-day.
It was strange for the observers that people?s appearance differed in some election centers greatly: 35% in Achkhoy-Martan and 70% in Urus-Martan.
Chechen lawyers are in some doubt about high attendance - Chechen Central election committee announced 71.8% of people took part in voting. The lawyers and observers consider this number was given too high.
