Mironov and Litvin discuss Russian gas price rise
The chairman of Russian Council Sergei Mironov and the chairman of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Litvin will discuss possibility to raise the price of gas supplied to Ukraine from Russia. "We?ll touch upon this question" - said Mironov. He also expressed assurance that Russian an Ukrainian sides would manage to agree on this question. "Europe has also become agitated in view of possible problems with Russian gas supply to Europe", added Mironov.
He called the Russian side intention to raise the price to be "normal decision caused by current economical situation"
"It?s evident that there should be normal market relations, normal price of gas must be nominated without prejudice of Russian economic," emphasized Mironov. At the same time he expressed the opinion that Russian side must also "take in account Ukrainian partners? interests."
