Defenders of the Russian Federation will meet in Donetsk with the UN representative
The members of the ad hoc working group on monitoring human rights in the square of Ukraine Elizabeth Glinka and Ella Polyakova decided in Donetsk to meet with the chief of mission of the United Nations human rights Marianna Kozarovi, notified on the Internet representative office of the HRC.
" first of Russian and Ukrainian human rights activists appealed to the Council under RF President on development of civil society and human rights, the authorized person for human rights in the Russian Federation and the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights with the initiative to put together a group to work on the area of Ukraine, " the statement said.
in the South-East of Ukraine Glinka and Polyakova suggest also to talk with the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova and the Ukrainian Ombudsman Valeria Lutkovska, and also with the chief of mission of the United Nations on human rights in the Donetsk region Marianna Kozarovi. They will discuss " the coordination and the development of effective human rights mechanisms, allowing to provide the citizens of the conflict region social, medical and food assistance."
The HRC Russia has formed a temporary working group on monitoring human rights in the square of Ukraine on urgent meeting in February, a few days after the coup d'etat, led to protests in the Southeast and military operation in Kyiv.
