Khodorkovsky broke machine in colony
Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who serves the sentence in Krasnokamenskaya colony of Chitinskaya oblast, has incurred first penalty.
As his lawyer Yurii Schmidt informed, Khodorkovsky`s machine for sewing of mittens broke down. Khodorkovsky went to search for maintenance man and has got penalty for unauthorized leaving of working place.
This penalty can worsen situation of Khodorkovsky. According to Criminal-executive Code, the court can reject the claim about commutation of the sentence at presence of penalty. This means that Khodorkovsky will have right only on 4 meetings per year. Moreover, penalties reduce the chances on grant of parole.
Yurii Schmidt considers the penalty groundless. He has already lodged the complaint to court.
A complaint of illegal placing of Khodorkovsky to Krasnokamensk is also being prepared. The head of Federal service of punishment execution Yurii Kalinin announced earlier that ex-head of "Yukos" was conveyed to Transbaikalia because there were no free seats in colonies of Moscow oblast. But lawyers of Khodorkovsky doubt in truth of the statement.
