Four candidates on post in Russian Olympic Committee
The number of candidates on the presidential post in the Russian Olympic Committee decreased to four people. The ROC press attasheGennady Shvets reported, that the president of the Russian Shooting Union Vladimir Lisin withdrew his application for the post. Initially there were seven candidates for the ROC post, however by the Olympic meeting, which is held today in the building of the ROC, several candidates have withdrawn their application. These are the president of Summer sports Assosiation, the ROC first vice-president Valery Kuzin and the first vice-president of Russian Swimming Federation Alexander Popov. Thus, there are the ROC president in force Leonid Tyagachev, Russian Track and Field Athletics Federation Valentin Balakhnichev, the Russian voluntary society "Sports Russia" chairwoman Irina Rodnina and the ROC vice-president Victor Khotochkin are left among the candidates for the post.
