Russian singer Valeria became UNO ambassador
Russian singer Valeria became the ambassador of free will UNISEF - children UNO fund.
The performer, who is the mother of 3 children, agreed to represent Russia in activity of the fund with pleasure. The "colleagues" of Valeria in charitable activity are such persons as Rodger Moor, Angelina Jolie and other foreign stars.
In near future Valeria will realize charitable programs, help to HIV-infected children in particular. Commenting the charitable activity of Valeria, her husband and producer Iosif Prigozhin declared: "We planned for a long time to devote ourselves to charity after solution of personal family issues. We think that every Russian citizen, who managed to find personality, must contribute to such work".
Children UNO fund UNISEF was created in 1946 for helping to European children after Second World War. In 1989 convention of children rights was approved. This document became the fundamental one, guaranteeing the rights of children worldwide. 191 countries have ratified this convention. Russia made it in 1990.
