Bush pays $114 millions to teach Americans Russian language
USA president George Bush intends to spend $114 millions from federal budget to provide opportunities for learning of rarely taught in USA languages.
This way Bush wants to improve image of the country. Among languages, which spread will be financed, are Russian, Arabic, Farsi, Chinese and other "rare" languages.
In opinion of Bush, real mutual understanding between people can be achieved only if people are talking on one language - this testifies about community of culture or effort to such community. Part of money will be spent on teaching of rare languages in elementary and middle schools. About 300 foreign teachers will be invited to USA during 2006-2007, and 100 American teachers will learn languages in native countries. Other exchange programs for students and pupils are also provided.
