Largest German gas concern is confident in Russian suppliers
Administration of largest in Germany gas concern E.ON Ruhrgas is confident in reliability of Russian gas suppliers.
This was informed by president of the concern Burkhart Bergman.
"Russian gas is reliably supplied to Germany for more than 30 years, though during this time more various events took place than during last week", - noted the head of E.ON Ruhrgas.
He refused to extrapolate Russian-Ukrainian incident with gas supplies on German-Russian relationships. "We have clear long-term treaties about supplies, where prices and amounts of gas are regulated. There are no lack of understanding, which was in agreement with Ukraine", - emphasized Bergman. "Moreover, we pay market prices", - he added.
At the same time the head of E.ON Ruhrgas paid attention on necessity of new North European pipeline, which is mutually constructed by Russian and German companies.
"The situation in Ukraine just supports the expediency of NEP construction", - announced Bergman. "Addition transport route, without transit risks, will increase reliability of Russian gas supplies and will provide an opportunity for receiving of additional volumes", - he noted.
