Ilya Kovalchuk became the most high-paid hockey player in "Atlanta"
Forward of Russian combined team Ilya Kovalchuk signed five-year contract to the sum of $32m with "Woodpeckers" and this Wednesday he may begin playing.
By the terms of agreement Ilya who became the most high-paid player in this team will get $6,5m in first year, $5m in second, in 2007-2008 season he will get $5,5m and in last two seasons $7,5.
"I?m happy to join "Atlanta" again and I?m looking forward to help my colleagues. We have very strong attack and I hope we can reach a new level with my help", - said Kovalchuk.
