235 domestic animals sick of foot-and-mouth disease in Chita oblast
235 domestic animals, privately owned by villagers of Kalgansky district in Chita oblast, were diagnosed symptoms of foot-and-mouth disease.
This was informed by press-service of Siberian regional center of Emergency Ministry. In this view village Srednaya Borzya was put in quarantine; sanitarian and traffic inspection posts operate at entrance to the village.
There are about thousand of domestic animals on the farms of the village. Analyses were taken from sick animals and sent to scientific-investigation institute. Results of analyses will be ready on January 24.
Srednaya Borzya village situates 0.5 km from state Russian-Chinese frontier.
