Case of Evdokimov: Prosecutor demands to imprison accused for 5 years.
Barnaul. The trial about the case of death of the ex-governor of the territory Mikhail Evdokimov, his driver and security guard after the car accident recommenced after a week`s interruption at the court of the Zonal region of Altai territory.
The lawyer of Evdokimov`s family Aleksandr Marchenko informed about the pleadings of sides on the trial. The prosecutor asked for imprisoning the accused - the driver of "Toyota" Oleg Scherbinski - for five years of deprivation of liberty with completion in a settlement.
Applications, submitted by the lawyers of accused a week ago, were looked through during the sitting. All of them were declined by the court.
The governor of Altai territory Mikhail Evdokimov, his driver and security guard perished on the 7th of August in the car accident on the Biysk route in the area of Pleshkovo village. "Mersedes" of the governor, which was moving on high speed, touched "Toyota", which was moving to the same direction, while overtaking. As the result of collision "Mersedes" rushed out of the route and crashed into the tree.
