Names of 12 nominees to "Russian award" revealed
The jury of literature competition "Russian award" under chairmanship of Chingiz Aitmatov has formed the long-list of the first Russian award for writers from the CIS countries, informs the press-release, published on the competition site.
Totally, 12 works of the writers from the six CIS countries - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Byelarussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz and Uzbekistan - constituted the list:

Press-release reminds, that the literature competition "Russian award" has been established in September, 2005 by non-profit making organization "Euro-Asian Research Institute" and "Caucasus Democracy Institute". The competition aims to assist preservation of the Russian language as the unique phenomenon of culture on the territory of the CIS countries and to assist restoration of humanitarian unity of people of Transcaucasia, Central Asia, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
"Russian award" is annually given to the prosaic works in Russian language authors, living in the countries of Transcaucasia, Central Asia, Kazakhstan. The winner receives the award of $3 thousand and the right to conclude the agreement of the book publishing with the competition founder.
