Gerard Depardieu to participate in film shooting in Saratov
Shooting of a new feature film "Parisians-2" with Gerard Depardieu will be held in June 2006 in Saratov, informed the director of the picture Andrei Kondratiev.
He explained, that "Parisians-2" was intended as lyric comedy about life in Russian village with French name Paris.
Gerard Depardieu is to play one of the village inhabitant, Russian peasant.
"The period for which the world famous star is to come to Saratov has not been determined yet, it depends on the script and calendar production schedule, which is under development now", explained the director.
At the same time, he supposed that the shooting in Saratov may take over two month. A wonderful picturesque place for shooting on location has been chosen - the village Chardym.
