Sychev family to move to Yekaterinburg
Victim of humiliating treatment soldier Andrei Sychev will move to Yekaterinburg after end of medical treatment and rehabilitation.
This decision was made by Andrei and his relatives after Russian Ministry of Defense and governors of Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk oblasts suggested Sychev family to improve housing conditions.
Sychev family was suggested apartments in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk or native Krasnoturinsk town.
Mother of a soldier Galina Sycheva considers that Yekaterinburg is a reasonable choice: majority of friends and relatives live in this town. Moreover the level of medical service is rather high in Yekaterinburg. The necessity of Andrei Sychev in good medical treatment is out of doubt.
The head of reanimation department of Chelyabinsk city hospital Anatoly Belitsky has informed that Andrei "breathes without assistance and speaks a little".
Consultation about possibilities and terms of Sychev transportation to Moscow military hospital is appointed on February 6.
Meanwhile hundreds of people all over the country continue to transfer money to account in "Ural bank" opened for soldier`s treatment. Deputies of Chelyabinsk oblast appealed to more than 500 directors of enterprises with request to do what one can to help Andrei Sychev. Foreign account has also been opened in "Ural bank".
As a reminder on New Year`s Eve cruel beating of soldiers took place in military unit of Chelyabinsk tank school. One of 8 beaten soldiers Andrei Sychev is now in severe condition. He was amputated legs, fingers on hand and vital organs. By fact of humiliating treatment of juniors 11 criminal proceedings has been instituted. Investigation has established 7 servicemen, who used violence towards younger soldiers.
Criminal proceedings has been instituted against the head of Chelyabinsk tank school, major-general Victor Sidorov according to article "abuse of power" in the view of crime concealing. State Duma took investigation of the case under personal control.
Russian minister of Defense Sergey Ivanov has signed a decree about dismissal of Sidorov from office and military service. Russian president Vladimir Putin charged Ministry of Defense with rendering of financial aid to Sychev family.
Meanwhile, according to official data of Ministry of Defense, 16 people died in Russian Armed Forces as a result of humiliating treatment of juniors in 2005. As a result of crimes and accidents in Armed Forces 1064 soldiers died in Armed Forces last year. Another 276 servicemen committed suicides.
