Prosecutor examines legality of adoption of beaten by American parents child
Office of Public Prosecutor over Rostov oblast examines adoption procedures of inmate from Taganrog Children`s Home, who was beaten by adoptive parents in USA. This was informed by prosecutor of the department Irina Cherkasova.
By her words, there is an appropriate court order of child passing to adoptive parents. It has been established that a child was renounced in Russia. The data on a child is contained in All-Russian data bank.
Cherkasova informed that adoption agency received positive reports about the child maintenance in new American family. "Office of Prosecutor will examine the legacy of court decision-making and validity of presented reports", - said the prosecutor.
This week USA law machinery started investigation of the brutal treatment of adopted Russian child by American parents. 4-year old Kuzma was taken to USA about year ago. Police accuses 43-year old Jane Cochran of beating and threatening to child health and well-being.
Russian counsel officials informed about systematic beating of the child and injury of ear, which was cut by scissors. By some information adoptive mother may be condemned to 7 years of imprisonment. At present moment the child stays under observance of doctors from Child Protection Service in New York state.
