Russian biathletes prohibited to read during Olympiad
President of Russian Biathlon Union Alexander Tikhonov prohibited members of Russian combined team to read before start. The measure is introduced for protection of eyes before forth-coming shooting.
"I was prohibited to read my favorite philosophic books - Jacque Derride and Yurgen Habermas, - complained 39-year old Sergey Chepikov. - Alexander Ivanovich has ordered to forget about philosophers and opera arias for period of Olympics. Therefore, I and my neighbor by house Sergey Rozhkov have plenty of spare time - we walk and don`t read. Our house is situated just above the highway - at the height of 1700 meters above sea level against 1670 meters. It is not a big deal but sportsmen of such rank as me and Rozhkov deserve better conditions".
As a reminder, first set of Olympic medals will be played in individual male race for 20 km today. Russian Pavel Rostovzev, Maxim Chudov, Ivan Cherezov and Sergey Chepikov will participate in it.
