Bronze medal came as surprise for Russian skier
Russian skier Evgenia Medvedeva-Arbizova, who won bronze medal in ski duathlon (race 7.5 km by classical style and 7.5 km by free style), has confessed that she is confused at such turn of events.
"It came as a surprise but I am happy and pleased now, - she said. - I have set a goal not to let leaders far. And I managed to fulfill it. I understood that I can not compete for first place. At final slope I decided to outdistance the sportswoman ahead in struggle for bronze. I knew that it would be too hard to outrun the rivals at final straight - one needs lots of forces for that".
