Russian frontier guards detained 210 tons of contraband petroleum for Ukraine
Russian frontier-guards detained 20 tank trucks with the petroleum and two machines of escort on Sunday in the Rostovskaya district at the boundary with the Ukraine.
As the chapter of the press- service of the frontier administration Federal Security Service of RF on the southern federal region Sergey Livantsov described, the automobiles and the driving persons were stopped in the western outskirts of Gukovo city by the forces of the "alarming group" of the boundary detachment with the assistance of the law-enforcement agencies of the region.
"All the machines were without license plates" emphasized Livantsov and added that 13 drivers were the citizens of the Ukraine.
"Since they were located in the border zone without the permission of boundary organs, an action about the administrative responsibilities will be brought against them" explained the representative of the frontier administration.
"The location of automobiles gives to us the right to assume that the scheduled attempt of the contraband removal of petroleum beyond the borders of Russia was prepared" noted Livantsov. According to him, the final decision with respect to the detained automobiles will be accepted somewhat later, since according to the law the frontier-guards have 48 hours for that.
