Georgian counselors regard Russia as main threat to Tbilisi
Georgian advisory Council has formulated factors threatening the national security - they are northern neighbor of the country and Russian military bases on Georgian territories.
"Analyzing these threats we will develop defense strategic principles, which will completely correspond to the interests of our country", - announced commander of general staff of Georgian armed forces Levan Niloleishvili.
He participates in conference on Georgian security maintenance, which started in Tbilisi this Friday.
"The main threats for Georgia are presence of conflict zones and instability from north. Russian military bases on Georgian territories represent certain threat also. We hope that real steps will be made for reduction of these threats within next months", - said Niloleishvili.
He also informed members of conference about transfer of Georgian army to NATO standards.
