Putin not to visit Turin because of Russian hockey defeat
Russian president Vladimir Putin will not come to Olympic Games, which closes on February 26 in Turin.
This was informed by the head of official Russian delegation at Olympic Games in Turin, president of Russian Olympic Commission Leonid Tyagachev.
"There was an agreement with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin: if Russian hockey team reaches the final then he comes to Turin, - said Tyagachev. - In this case he would support hockey players in match for gold medals and visited the closing ceremony. After defeat in semifinal this question is out of discussion".
Earlier press-service of Italian premier-minister announced that Russian president may visit closing ceremony of Olympic Games.
