The Russian team finished XX Winter Olympic Games in Torino having won 22 medals - 8 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze.
The Olympic champions of Torino became Yevgeny Dementev (ski races, duathlon), Svetlana Ishmuratova (biathlon, 15 km), Tatiana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin (figure skating, sport pairs), Svetlana Zhurova (skates, 500 m), Evgeni Plushenko (figure skating), Natalie Baranova -Masalkina, Larisa Kurkina, Julia Chepalova and Yevgenia Medvedeva -Arbuzova (ski races, the relay race of 4x5 km), Tatiana Navka the Roman Kostomarov (figure skating, dancing pairs), Anna Bogaliy, Svetlana Ishmuratova, Olga Zaytseva and Albina Akhatova (biathlon, the relay race of 4x5 km).
"Silver" was conquered by Albert Demchenko (sleighs), Dmitriy Dorofeev (skates, 500 m), Nikolai Kruglov, Pavel Rostovtsev, Sergey Chepikov and Ivan Cherezov (biathlon, relay race 4x7,5 km), Julia Chepalova (ski races, 30 km free style), Aleksandr Zubkov, Philipp Yegorov, Aleksey Selivyerst and Aleksey Voyevoda (bobsleigh, four), Yevgeny Dementev (ski races, 50 km free style).
Yevgenia Medvedeva -Arbuzova (ski races, duathlon), Albina Akhatova (biathlon, race on 15 km and the race of pursuit), Ivan Alypov and Vasiliy Rochev (ski races, command sprint), Svetlana Vysokova, Ekaterina Lobysheva and Ekaterina Abramova, Varbara Barisheva and Galina Likhacheva (skates, the command race of pursuit), Alene Sidko (ski races, sprint), Irina Slutskaya (figure skating), Vladimir Lebedev (freestyle, acrobatics) became the possessors of bronze rewards in Torino.
In the team test of the Olympiad -2006 the Russians got the fourth place, and Germans became the conquerors, they won 29 rewards (11 of them - gold). The representatives of 26 countries won medal in total Torino.
