Onischenko: bird flu to transfer to man through mammals
Bird flu can be transferred to the man through the mammals, and the special uneasiness of doctors causes the possibility of the transfer of the virus through the pigs, reported Russian chief sanitary inspector Gennadiy Onischenko.
"First of all, such mammal as pig interests the specialists, because it closely located to the man and the previous pandemics began from the transfer from the bird to the pig, and from the pig to the man. In this case the virus undertakes the attempt to jump over this stage and to pass immediately from bird to man" he said.
"Other mammals also can be ill by this virus" said Onischenko. He confirmed the information from Germany about the loss of a cat, in which they found bird flu.
According to the words of Russian chief sanitary inspector all the flu types which the humanity encounters, come from birds. "And thinking about H5N1 may be birds stored up ten varieties of flu till H15" said Onischenko.
