Russian figure-skaters coped with task in Olympic Games
Valentin Piseev, the president of Figure-skating Federation of Russia, noted that Russian figure-skaters fulfilled tasks set for Olympic Games in Turin.
In his opinion, Russian figure-skaters did their best and supported best traditions of Russian figure-skating.
The president of figure-skating has emphasized that Evgeniy Plushenko, who became Olympic champion, was head and shoulders above his competitors. "The situation in ice dancing was rather complicated. Italians prepared for Olympic victory. But this goal was a nonsense because sportsmen didn`t perform for 4 years", - concluded the president of Russian Federation of figure-skating.
It should be mentioned that ice show of champions "Russia waits" will take place in capital sport Palace "Luzhniki" on March 7. Members of Russian Olympic figure-skating team Evgeniy Plushenko, Irina Slutskaya, pairs Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov, Tatiana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin will participate in the program. 24 stars of figure-skating will perform on the show. The next day, on March 8, TV version of ice show of the champions will be broadcasted by First channel.
